Some PCs have got two graphics cards: a slow Intel HD graphics chip ("Integrated graphics") and a faster NVIDIA or AMD graphics card. Since the release of 186 graphics drivers NVIDIA has decided to disable PhysX anytime a non-NVIDIA GPU is present in the same PC. NVIDIA PhysX API uses GPUs in games and applications that support NVIDIA’s Physx, to handle physical environment measurements. What AMD has been pushing, however, is the ability to cram compute and graphics workloads together. Nvidia was founded on April 5, 1993, by Jensen Huang (CEO as of 2020), a Taiwanese American, previously director of CoreWare at LSI Logic and a microprocessor designer at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Chris Malachowsky, an electrical engineer who worked at Sun Microsystems, and Curtis Priem, previously a senior staff engineer and graphics chip designer at Sun Microsystems.
When a task uses the graphics ASICs … You can't because Nividia blocked AMD video cards from using Physx. "A PhysX card"? anythiing that the gpu doesnt have to do can only improve things. For gainge nVidia is still king, AMD is pretty close though but 6900XT can be a great card that is reasonably priced. Get msi kombustor, there's a phyx test for both cpu and gpu, if you run gpu note that it says "gpu" on the test instead of "cpu", why? minger66 cranium r while ati has a great card im thinking they shouldve invested some time in it.
